Description

On December 6, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services recently released the final version of the Outcome Assessment Information Set Version E (OASIS-E), which goes into effect on January 1, 2023. The final OASIS-E All Items and time point versions of the instrument include 27 new items to standardize care across post-acute care settings.

Among the most significant changes are the following from Chapter 3 of the manual:

Section C: Cognitive Patterns
Section D: Mood
Section J: Health Conditions
Section K: Swallowing/Nutritional Status
Section N: Medications

In this live online briefing, SimiTree's J'non Griffin will explain how the final instrument and manual differ from the draft version in a way that makes sense, resulting in faster implementation and compliance.
