Objectives

At the conclusion, participants should be able to:

  1. Define the difference in billable skills and quality skills.-How to identify the difference and stay in compliance with both-10 minutes
  2. Identify what needs to be included in each clinician's note and what the overall quality of the chart needs to reflect. Identify all the required billing and quality areas of the patient chart-10 minutes
  3. Identify the most essential and urgent action plans to implement and practical ways to implement. It is important to identify current documentation trends that may cause a risk to the agency. It is important to look at the "forest and not the trees" or how to look at the big picture of documentation.-20 minutes
  4. Discuss how the Proposed CoPs and VBP are dependent on the quality of your charts-20 min
  5. Discuss clinician buy-in.The team is only a team if you have "buy-in" of the clinicians. How to involve your clinicians as an active member of the resolution team-10 minutes
