HCAF: Pre-Claim Review Documentation Necessities (SN, OT, ST - 2 CEUs)

Under the Pre-Claim Review Demonstration, all Medicare agencies in Florida will have to submit a request for pre-claim review along with relevant documentation to support coverage. According to CMS, Palmetto GBA will review the agency's request "to determine whether the service level complies with applicable Medicare coverage and clinical documentation requirements." A major component of this review will include the Face to Face documentation requirements that are part of the eligibility standards for Medicare home health services.

This webinar will seek to outline the pre-claim review and Face to Face certification requirements, and shed light on how to best handle various real-life scenarios by reviewing the Medicare home health benefit, documentation requirements for home health admission; the Face to Face rule, changes and criterion; timing of reassessments; medical review issues related to therapy documentation and review of both good and bad therapy documentation examples.
