Congress gave the go-ahead and CMS is now implementing this quality strategy in an effort to strengthen patient and family engagement, promote effective communication and coordination of care, along with prevention and treatment of chronic disease. For example, quality measures for home health begin in January with the OASIS-C2 and measures to be added over the next few years.
